If you provide us with personal data by e-mail and/or contact form (in particular name, e-mail address or telephone number), this is generally on a purely voluntary basis.

The passive use of our offer is anonymously possible.

MyZVEI 
If you wish to use the MyZVEI function, you must register and agree to the privacy policy regulations. For this purpose, the user creates a user profile (e-mail and password), but the user can also enter a title and/or his or her full name.

The data will only be used for the following purposes: Login, contact by e-mail and display in the header of the personalized page. Personal filter settings are also saved in the profile: topics, trade associations, keywords.

Newsletter
With your consent according to art. 6 para. 1 a DSGVO you can subscribe to our newsletter, with which we inform you about our current offers. 

For the registration to our newsletter we use the so-called double opt-in procedure. This means that after your registration we will send you an e-mail to the specified e-mail address in which we ask you to confirm that you would like the newsletter to be sent. If you do not confirm your registration within 24 hours, your information will be blocked and automatically deleted after one month.

In addition, we store your IP addresses and the time of registration and confirmation. The purpose of the procedure is to be able to prove your registration and, if necessary, to clarify a possible misuse of your personal data.

Only your name and e-mail address are required for sending the newsletter. The indication of further, separately marked data is voluntary and is used to be able to address you personally. After your confirmation we will save your e-mail address for the purpose of sending you the newsletter. The legal basis is Art. 6 para. 1 a DSGVO.

You can unsubscribe from the newsletter at any time free of charge via the link provided in the newsletter.

Committee portal ZVEIconnects

As part of the registration and use of our committee portal, it is necessary for you to provide us with certain personal data (in particular name, email address, company, member number company, function). 

You can also optionally provide us with certain data (e.g. photos). The same applies to documents that may be uploaded by you and made available to others. 

We use the data only within the framework of the terms of use, i.e. to ensure the functionality of the portal, such as for contacting or exchanging data between contacts and members.

No further use is made of the data. All data processing takes place only on the basis of and within the scope of your consent.

When using MS Teams and MS 365, data (name, professional email address, company) is encrypted and sent to Microsoft Ireland Operations, Ltd. (MOL) One Microsoft Place, South County Business Park, Leopardstown, Dublin 18, D18 P521. 

There is no access on the part of MOL to the data itself. In addition, a DPA (Data Privacy Agreement) has been concluded with MOL, which regulates the rights of ZVEI as the client and the rights of the data subjects. 

The storage of data takes place exclusively in servers within the EU. 
In addition, the following data is collected as a matter of system necessity when using MS Teams: 

• IP address
• Diagnostic data (data on the use of the software and services)
• Functional data (e.g. log data)
• Device data with which you use the services of Microsoft 365 (e.g. browser, operating system, virus protection).

The operation of MS Teams requires that the processing of certain diagnostic or telemetry data is also provided outside the respective Geo, for example in the USA. 
Microsoft has stated that it uses diagnostic or telemetric data to provide and improve Microsoft services, to update the service, and to ensure and improve security. The above-mentioned data will be anonymized by Microsoft immediately. Processing for purposes of profiling, data analysis, market research or advertising does not take place.
For such commissioned processing outside Europe, the standard contractual clauses of 2021 implemented by Microsoft apply.

Registration for events
If you register via this website or partner sites, we collect and process your data exclusively for the organisation of the event. Further details are specified in the data protection declaration of the event. The legal basis is Art. 6 para. 1 a,b DSGVO.

Application process 
We process personal data about you for the purpose of your application for employment to the extent necessary in order to decide whether to enter into an employment relationship with us. The legal basis is § 26 para. 1 BDSG.

Furthermore, we may process personal data about you to the extent necessary to defend against legal claims asserted against us in the application process. The legal basis is Art. 6 para. 1 f DSGVO; the legitimate interest is, for example, a duty to provide evidence in proceedings under the General Equal Treatment Act (Allgemeines Gleichbehandlungsgesetz - AGG).

If we wish to store your personal data in order to take you into account for future positions you may be interested in, we will obtain your separate consent in accordance with Art. 6 para. 1 a DSGVO.

Your data will only be passed on within the ZVEI and only to persons who are directly involved with the application. Your data will not be passed on to persons or positions outside the ZVEI.

If an employment relationship is not established between you and us, the application documents will be deleted six months after notification of the rejection decision. If the storage is based on your consent, we will store your personal data until you revoke your consent.

The website uses cookies. Cookies are small text files, which are stored locally in your browser's temporary memory. In particular, cookies are used to enable recognition of your internet browser. Cookies are used to control the session and for statistical evaluation. These cookies do not contain any personal data. Insofar as you voluntarily select automatic login to the website, your login details (e-mail address and password) will be saved in an additional cookie on your computer.
